The HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor is a compact module designed for non-contact distance measurement using ultrasonic waves.
It operates on a 5 V supply with logic compatibility for 3.3 V or 5 V systems, emitting a 40 kHz ultrasonic pulse upon receiving a 10 µs trigger input.
The
echo pin outputs a TTL PWM signal corresponding to the time-of-flight,
enabling distance calculation via simple microcontroller code. With a detection range of 2 cm to 450 cm and accuracy up to 3 mm, it features a narrow sensor angle of less than 15 degrees for focused measurements.
